Religious and Cultural Routes
Religious tourism in Sicily is presented in various forms and activities. The traditions and religious culture of Sicily and the Sicilians, the presence of important shrines (reference for significant spiritual itineraries) represent some strong points in terms of attraction of tourist flows driven by religious interests.
In addition to the Phoenicians’ Route – Cultural Route of the Council of Europe – the project partnership consists of three Municipalities (hub of the route) of three different regional areas, of the Tourist District “Selinunte, Belìce and Sciacca Terme”, of several Tourist Associations and Tour Operators.
